"Fever" 4th film shooting done We completed our last film shooting in South Africa only a few days ago. The camera team even had the chance to watch the opening game of the Confederations Cup. Now everyone is back in Germany and the rough cut will be done soon. The finished film will be something to look forward to. Berlinale 2009 / EFM / BerlinThe impulsWERKSTATT was at the Berlinale /EFM 2009 in February. Besides recommendations for really good films (please see the blog) we have other good news: We have got a world sales agency now, the Kloos & Co. Medien GmbH / Rise and Shine . This Berlin located sales agency will deal with the distribution of our film "Fever" (for the time being under its working title “South Africa 2010 - faith, love & hope”) from now on. IDFA 2008 / AmsterdamAt the biggest forum of the documentary film business of Europe, the "International Documentary Festival Amsterdam" (IDFA), we pitched our film "Fever" within the scope of the "Moderators Hat Draw". Miradas-Doc / Teneriffa"Fever" (former working title: “South Africa 2010 – faith, love & hope”) was one of ten documentary projects selected for the pitching session at Miradas-Doc in Tenerife. It was the third international pitch, after AIDC in Australia and the Co-production Challenge during MIPDOC in Cannes, this project was selected for in 2008.
Miradas-Doc, the International Festival of Documentary Cinema of Guía de Isora, took place from 31.October until 8. November 2008. It is the second major event with screenings for finished productions and pitchings for projects under way. The market offers space for the distribution of documentary cinema of the third world in the first world, also including topics from producers of the northern hemisphere on the third world like “Fever”. Miradas-Doc is the only European market devoted exclusively to this kind of cinema.
